South East Mobility is one of the regions greatest business success stories and has been the runner up in the region's 'New Business of the Year Awards” And Has won the Category of “Expanding Business” no less than 3 times. Founded by John Greenan in 2001 the business started from a small single unit shop and expanded rapidly to take over the adjoining retail premises. This latest move will see the company housed in almost 2,500 sq ft of retail space.

John Greenan originally started South East Mobility as a direct result of his father being an amputee. There was very little provision in the local area for the supply of quality mobility items. Four years ago he was joined by experienced retailer Nik Fowden who has become a fellow Director and Partner in the Business. They now head a professional team of staff and offer one of the largest selections of mobility items to be found anywhere in the UK.

The new store is to  stock over 1500 items and features the UK's most respected brands such as Shoprider, Permobil, Days Heathcare, Rascal Mobility and Pride Mobility. Alongside the vast selection of different mobility scooters, wheelchairs, walking aids and bath and WC aids there will be a number of completely new products. The showroom is also to feature some of South East Mobility's more specialised areas of business such as its home and bathroom conversion division and Paediatric Wheelchairs.

Having been appointed a 'Centre of Excellence' from a number of mobility manufacturers the new premises will provide ample additional space to allow the company to further develop its 'Care Solutions for Care Professionals' service. Occupational Therapists will be able to see demonstrations of new equipment and are invited to bring their clients to find the best solution for their specific needs.

The company's considerable expansion will also provide it with a greater presence toward the 'Private and Corporate Care Institutions'. By offering products with maintenance contracts, care home owners and managers can be more effective in their care provisions.

The grand opening of the new South East Mobility store will be an important new chapter for the company and its clients.
